Villa Manos – a great place to stay

When the ferry arrived at Santorini port my wife picked out Poppy from the throng of domatia people behind the fence all wanting our business. We liked her face & attitude so much that we decided to stay @ V. Manos. On arrival we were given a great welcome by Poppy's husband Vangelis and their daughter. The room was really good and had we stayed more that one night on the island we would have made even better use of the services available from the family.

The bed was comfortable & the room very clean, we made our own dinner (from goods bought at the supermarket just 80 metres down the road) and had a relaxing swim in their pool with 180+degree views of the island & sea.

The Fira village is a brisk 30 minute walk from the Villa and it gave us a chance to get some exercise before the shopping.

The next morning's breakfast was better value than the price they charged!

When the boat trip we had booked through Poppy was cancelled she worked very hard to find us an alternative. As our departing ferry was 7 hours after we checked out of the room they allowed us to store our bags at the Villa until after the boat trip and donkey rides and then they took us down to the main port (when they went to meet the next incoming ferry) so that we could wait a short while for our ferry to Folegandros.

Because of their ***** service we plan to come back to Villa Manos in Santorini in 2011 - with 6 friends.
